Sorry for my long absence. I was away for a period of time, and during this time i managed to observe the rapi change of emotion within a humn being. And because this change was due to a disagreement on religion, i thought i'd be interested in sharing some ideas on what I feel about it. Before that i must dislose i am NOT a religious person so any possible biasness towards any particular religion will be escused. However i wil refrain from doing so.
Alright, religion, those who believe in the existence of a higher power, this power they call God think that religion is one of the most important of all things in existence. Those who do not believe in the existence of such a power often find it dividing border of mankind.
Well first lets look at the IMPORTANCE of religion.
Religion often make someone feel at home. In other words a person may feel like he has a shoulder to lean on, when he is in the company of others who are of the same religion. In that way religion does save many people. Also religion is a definite means for people to interact, and to know others better. However this interaction is often limited, because they would only interact more with another of the same religion because they feel more at home. Religion also has an overbearing power of influence. It can influence people and be able to change their mentality to a whole new plane of thought. Thus religion can unite people by mentaly influencing them that they must stick together etc.
However, like all times, where there is great power, it is used for good, and evil.
As religion can influence, in countries where religion often rules life, many priests use the power instilled upon them to make people do their bidding and to accumulate immense power via corruption and through cheating the minds pf many. Sometimes history gets affected by these instances. For example the conspiracy about the Bible, about the burning of the other gospels. Also, the conspiracy and rumours that terrorists were being bred in Muslim religious schools. In India where religion plays an immense role, many corrupted priests go to the extent of killing to gain power.
Now let me go on to, my take on religion. I think religion was made to give a certain group of people hope. When their life was rough, they would have something to hold on to, however soon people star to create signs to envision this hope more efficiently, and soon, the term God had a figure, a rather physical attribute. And soon, people try to commune with this higher power, and become enlightened, and thus came priests. Then some of them went to corruption and the distortion of the real meaning of God begins.
To me God is a form of energy. energy that reflects a parallel of what u wish for, thus when u pray about something often, u are made to act upon the same thing and thus u achieve it.
However one must not look at another and judge him for what he believes. Religion was creaed to help people on an individual scale. Thus, learn to accept people and respect their views no matter how it may differ from yours.
